Not many days ago Oracle came out with road map for JavaFX technology. While JavaFX scripting language goes deprecated, JavaFX API stays in focus and gains even more great features in future.
In this session we will demonstrate some really cool features of JavaFX API in its current state. Also, we will go through changes that developers will face when JavaFX 2.0 come out. You will see how you can go ahead and start working with JavaFX and prepare yourself for upcoming of possibly the best Java UI technology so far!
As a special bonus, we will demonstrate few tricks for existing JavaFX developers. We will show how some minor changes in code style can help you port your current JavaFX projects to future Java/JavaFX version.
